Hey guys!
Here’s another part of my trip do Dubai! 🙂
So the fourth day we decided to make a trip to Abu Dhabi, since it’s only like 1,5 hours by bus. We didn’t do pretty much anything the day before, so it was about time to get moving again, so by 9.15am we were already sitting in a bus heading towards Abu Dhabi. The bus ride was a nightmare. The driver was a neurotic Indian, who was so happy whenever he could honk. He always stopped the vehicle about 5 centimeters from the car in front of us and then braked as much as he could, so I always hit my head against the seat in front of me. The traffic circles were the worst because he was entering them about 70 mph fast and was driving out even faster. Once he even got out of the bus to explain another driver how the right of way works. It was a nightmare.
Well, so we got to Abu Dhabi and by public transport we managed to get to the Emirates Palace. It’s an incredible building, now working as a fancy hotel. Everything was gold or marble and in front of the hotel there were several Roll-Royce in the same color.
Then we headed to the icon of this city – Sheikh Zayed Mosque. I think it’s the largest mosque in the Emirates and I’m pretty sure, it’s the most incredible building I’ve ever seen in my life. In the architectonic way. It’s huge, white and so pure. At the entrance, we were informed that we have to wear these long robes, so we got ones, put them on, and by this moment I figured how all the muslim women must feel in 100 degrees in black burkas. I mean, this time it was about 90 degrees and the robes were brown, but still. Anyways, we waited for the sunset and right after the sun got down, we headed back to the main station, from where our bus went back to Dubai. Luckily the driver was different.
And there will be the last part of the report on the blog tomorrow, this time from the Dubai Marina, which is not less beautiful than this, so be sure to check it out!
Have a wonderful rest of Tuesday, guys!
