Off to Valencia for design (and food)

Heeey!

so here is a few lines to my trip to Valencia! Design is very close to fashion, so when in Valencia,  we had an opportunity to take a tour around the successful Spanish company ACTIU, a furniture manufacturer, located near Alicante.

Although I originally wanted to shoot some fashion posts, the program was so interesting that we spent the whole day in the company. I was amazed by the story of the family firm and their philosophy, and then I obviously found absolutely stunning their showroom with the collection of furniture, that was incredibly photogenic, so I was taking one photo after another. No less photogenic was also our amazing lunch 🙂 I had to control the others not to touch the food until I take a picture of it, hahaha:)

In the evening, we went to have dinner in Alicante with the girls, where we tasted probably all the tapas that exist. We ended eating past midnight, so I really enjoyed a night walk through the old city back to the hotel, (with a stop at a bar for a mojito or two, hahaha:))

In the morning I had to have a quick walk by the sea before breakfast, otherwise I couldn’t eat anything, I was still full from dinner, haha 🙂 Then we all went by train to Valencia, where we had another amazing lunch. I was just saying, that if there was one more day, I would have to cancel my fitness section on my blog, because eating was all we did, haha:)

After lunch we managed to have a tour around Valencia with the most incredible guide José. It’s a beautiful city, full of both historic and modern buildings.

Worth mentioning is definitely the complex of buildings designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava. Stunning was also the Turia Park, which was built after the floods by diverting the river. History lovers would be astonished by the the Cathedral of the Holy Grail and lovers of food & drink would definitely have to taste so called Agua di Valencia, which is a drink made of vodka, champagne and orange juice. We couldn’t resist either and sat down in the most interesting bar :)))

The program was so packed, that it almost looked like I would leave without a piece of clothes (I always buy clothes as a souvenir). Luckily, I found the COS store, which I wanted to visit for such a long time (in Prague there is only one store in Parizska St), where they had just by coincidence some discounts and I couldn’t resist and bought one dress, which you will see me wearing quite soon!

Anyways, I didn’t shoot any fashion posts, because I was busy eating food those two days, haha:) Tomorrow I’m going to Iceland, where the temperature is quite different from Valencia.

The next post is going to be from Iceland, so stay tuned!
Cheers,
E.
