Panská skála – a little bit of Iceland in the Czech Republic

Hey everyone!

If you’ve ever visited Iceland, you’ve certainly stopped at the famous black sand beach of Reynisfjara. But the beach is unique because of one other phenomenon – basalt rocks (seen in the top photo). And, surprise, we have one in the Czech Republic. In fact, there are more, but the ones in Kamenický Šenov are the most accessible.

In the maps you’ll find them under the name of Panská Skála. They’re getting more and more visited by the tourists, so if you haven’t come to the northern part of the Czech Republic yet, you better fix it now! 🙂 And if you’re more interested in the rocks on Iceland, check out my article from there.
