Hey guys!
It is said that Australia is a paradise for surfers, but you wouldn’t believe it until you really see it. I surfed on three places, but thanks to great waves you can actually surf all along the east coast, I wouldn’t say there is one best beach for surfing.
The first time I got into the waves was in Surfers Paradise (yes, that’s a real city), where the waves were way too big and I couldn’t even stay on the board for more than a minute. They could be about three to four meters high.
The second time I got to surf was in Byron Bay, a few minutes from Brisbane, where it was a bit better, so I managed to ride the waves all the way.
I couldn’t skip the iconic Bondi Beach right in Sydney, where I rented the short board for the first time, just to see if it’s easier than the classic long hard board. Oh boy, it’s not, although it looks so easy. The next time I’ll stick to the long board.
I totally fell in love with this surfers life style, when everyone just works during the week, and gets to the beach at the weekends. Looks like a dream, right? I’m kind of jealous…:)
