Hey travellers!
After I got back from the Norway trip, I had already started planning another trip.
This article is dedicated to Anezka, a colleague from the gym, who had inspired me so much that I decided to do the same thing as she did about a month ago, so again Anezka, thank you so much for all the tips!:)
This Germany & Austria trip took us 3 days including the driving. The adventure started in the german castle called Neuschwanstein, which I wanted to see for a long time and is only 5 hours of driving from Prague.
We saw some beautiful lakes in the afternoon and stopped by for a quick bath.
The next day after breakfast and my wonderful breakfast pic we headed to the purpose of the trip and that was the Austrian Alps. Specifically the area around Kaprun and Zell Am See. I’ve been here like a hundred times in winter, you know, for snowboarding, but I would never think, that I would come back during the summer. There is a lot of hiking trails here, in my beloved mountains, so there’s a lot to do even in the summer.
We hiked right to the lake called Mooserboden, but there is also a bus and cable car that goes all the way up to the lake. The lake is at about 2500 m above sea level and even at that height there was about 30°C and blue sky. There is also tons of hiking trails around the whole lake and not so many people so that’s probably the best thing about it.
At the end of the roadtrip, we headed to Hallstatt, a little Austrian town at the lake, which I’ve seen on many photographs before.
I wanted to make sure, that the town is really that photogenic, and it is! You can even rent a boat, which we did and saw the town from other angles. The water is so clear and the place is so quiet and peaceful, that you even don’t want to talk and just enjoy the moment.
On the way back, we lied down at the lake Fuschlsee, where us can also find the headquarters of Rebull. Yes, that’s the building that looks like a five-star hotel in the Maldives.
Well, I hope you liked this weekend trip as much as we did and it was an inspiration for you guys!:)
Love,
E.
