Hello everyone!
So today I’m just going to write very briefly about the castle of Chateau de Chillon, which we actually came across by coincidence. When on roadtrip in Switzerland, we had to skip one awesome place for time reasons, so we searched the maps for something closer & on the way and found this fairy-tale castle.
Chateau de Chillon is located on a huge lake called Lac Léman, which actually looks more like a sea. This lake actually lies exactly on the French/Switzerland border. Therefore you can find it in the southwest of Switzerland. As we have read, it’s one of the best preserved European castles. It was built in the 13th century.
Of course you can buy a ticket and visit the castle from the inside, but unfortunately we didn’t have time for that, so we skipped the tour. But I kinda regret that we didn’t have more time to walk around the lake, which is really beautiful. Especially on a sunny day like this:))
