Nelson Lakes & wine tasting in Marlborough

IMG_5614

Hi!

Today’s morning was quite rainy, so we decided to have a rest day. We drove through Marlborough Wine County, where the best New Zealand wine is produced. And because we are life-enjoyers, we stopped by one of the wineries and apart from wines we tasted some local cheeses as well. We were wondering the whole time, why we were alone on such an amazing place, until we figured out that it’s kind of eccentric to drink at 10 in the morning:))

After lunch the weather got a bit better, so we decided to go for an afternoon walk onto St Arnaud in Nelson Lakes National Park. Well, after 7 hours of hiking through a tropical jungle, we found out, that it’s not an afternoon walk at all, but the view up there was definitely worth it!
Maybe we will ask somewhere, on how high mountain we’re actually going the next time, 1787 meters is a little bit too much for an afternoon walk J

And next time, I would switch these two activities haha! 🙂

Love,
E.
