We finally got to Sydney yesterday evening! We were soo worn out after 1000 kilometers of driving, that we went straight to bed and didn’t see anything in the centre.
Well, my camera repair is getting more and more intense! We went to the service place right in the morning, where I was told that the last piece that’s needed for my repair was used yesterday and that it’s necessary to order a new one from Canon, which could take up to 5 days. I thought I was gonna die in that moment. We were supposed to be 3000 km away from Sydney by that time. I couldn’t believe that there was nothing else to do, so I kept asking until the guy had an idea. He could maybe use the piece from an older model, but he wasn’t sure if that would work. I made him to try it and told him that I would come back in the afternoon.
So we spent the whole day exploring Sydney, and even though I don’t have a single picture, I quite enjoyed it. We walked around the Opera, went to the famous Harbour Bridge and got stuffed at the local fish market.
I got back to the service in the afternoon and the man was already smiling at me, when I was entering the door. I figured that the experiment was successful, so a few minutes later, I had my repaired camera in my hands again.
The same day evening we finally got to the city centre, so I took as many pictures with my tripod as I could, just in case the new piece in my camera changed it’s mind and refused to work again, haha:) And this is the result of night shooting!
