Hey everyone!
The shortest route from Lago di Saoseo (the article from Lake Saoseo here!) to Interlaken leads through Susten Pass (2260 m.n.m.). We honestly didn’t know how beautiful it is, so we were pretty surprised when we got there. I immediately called this place the most beautiful pass in Switzerland. But it’s usually that way – the most beautiful things are discovered by chance.
And why is the Susten Pass so special? See the tunnel with the waterfall? I don’t know about you guys, but I – a visually based person who can appreciate beatiful things – ran out of words when I saw this. I almost hit the ditch in the lower switchbacks because I kept looking around!
There are plenty of great places where you can stop along the way, take a picture, or go for a short walk. Despite the fact that it was summer, there was still a bit of snow on the peaks. Another thing worth admiring is the huge glacier, which is visible right from the road.
