Hey travellers!
Third time to Death Valley and still in awe. This time, however, I didn’t really do well with the timing. The original plan was to get to Death Valley for the sunset, sleep somewhere in the park, get up for the sunrise and then travel further north towards Tahoe.
Unfortunately, I managed to catch the sunset at the very edge of the national park and got to the center of it when it was almost dark. I went straight to my secret place. I think it’s the nicest part of Death Valley and you can find it along the way to Badwater Basin. Its name is Golden Canyon. You won’t run into too many people because they’re all heading for Zabriskie Point, and maybe that’s why it’s so magical. From the parking lot, the most beautiful views are about 30 minutes of walking and the sunset is absolutely priceless there.
Anyways, if you are interested in more places in Death Valley NP, check out my article from November.
