Hello everyone!
Mono Lake is something you won’t find anywhere else in the world. It’s a salt lake almost 2000 meters above sea level, surrounded by beautiful (in spring, still snow-covered) mountains. It’s definitely worth getting up early and seeing this place during the sunrise, however, not many people come here during the day either, so it’s very likely that you will have it all for yourself. I absolutely don’t understand the fact that it’s not so popular amongst tourists because for me, it’s one of the main gems of California.
You can reach it from the main road, which connects to a smaller road with a car park at the end, so no hiking is actually needed.
