Hey!
We finally left Nelson Lakes National Park and moved to west coast of the south island.
After those exhausting tracks we just wanted to chill for a while, so we sat down in a little café in Westport, where I first broke all my rules and ate a wonderful oreo cake. Full of energy, we headed off along the coast, straight to the Paparoa National Park. We stopped by Cape Foulwind, where the seals live, and where we found a huge sand beach. After that we finally got to Paparoa’s pancakes-like-looking cliffs called Punakaiki. At the end of the day, we went for a „chill-walk“ along the river all the way to the swingbridge, but it turned out to be a steep two-hour track in the jungle. (We are getting used to it:))))
Well and we are slowly leaving the tropical rainforests and beaches, and heading off towards the glaciers!
Love,
E.
